hangovered...

would not be the right word to describe how I feel right now...
Cause actually I am suprisingly fine even after a whole weekend of good-bye-Diddi-party. Starting on Friday in bar I never was before and I almost never would have been gone since I simply did not find it. And additional noone answered the phone. How shall they if they are in a beautiful basement without any reception... Czechs seem to like to have tons of this kind of bars! Staying out a little longer I decided to sleep a little longer as well. But at five I was up for... for what actually??? Oh yes, after Will and his US-visit were finally done we were heading for another beer in the Micro-brewery. Beer taped on our table from a one meter high glas pole full of this sweet juice... Did I say sweet?!? Yeah, they even had flavoured beer with cherry, blueberry, banana even coffee-taste. Wired but definitly funny! And @8 we headed to Fama, a fancy restaurant. Of course fancy! If I learned anything on Iceland it is that those people there love fancy places. And I think Diddi check all of those in Prague!!! Was a real nice place, but as usual the service was a kind of Czech. Everyone got a little paper where the waitresses wrote down what you ordered and at the end you paid it. Except two who did not figure out that it was already pay-time cause we wanted to stay a little longer anyway. But there was no service available for 45 Mintues... typical Czech. But well we just changed location, I burnt my lips on a B52 and went home while it was raining cats and dogs... Could at least cool my lips down again :-) And next to a little party I played football (soccer for those who did not learn it yet). First time since five years again. Was even afraid to kick the ball. But when I started, man, we needed three ambulances... No, kidding! Was a lot fun and sun. Was time for getting tanned! Did I mention the beer garden afterwards. I think it was my worst weekend ever (if we dont count the DanaCup). But after a shower we had another good-bye dinner with Diddi in Pravěk, a stone age decorated restaurant in......... right a basement. And I had my first STEAK since ages. At least a year I think. yamyamyam If you come and visit me, we are going to go there!!! Like the place a lot! And like the back door. Did not know that we had such a nice bar just around the corner. But not only corner. Guess what else. Right in the base... But this week shall be a little recovering, except if I am gonna see Diddi before he leaves :-) Will not see him for a long time. But already look forward to some Brennivín. And I will keep you on track about my state of recovery...

Where is summer?

Dear reader,

I am glad you found the wayto these lines! I am especially happy because it took me a long time to think what I should write and what not. The last weeks were the most difficult ones I ever had. A new city and new people lead sometimes to a new life and new perspectives.
So here I am now. Was a very busy time again. Just came back from Hanover yesterday night where I spent three days in finishing a project. But the more intersting thing happend on Saturday! My cousin Jan married his girl finally after seven years. It was a kind of dream wedding. Old church in a village, gospel singers, white pigeons and a white Rolls Royce. But the part I liked more (some of you may understand) was the party afterwards in a wonderful location in Lübeck directly at the river Trave. It was a lot fun with food, family and fancy drinks. Well, and since my sister and I were discussing if we ever saw the bride before, even though it should have been seven years, I introduced myself to her. Well, she remembered me... Do I have to say anything else?

And just a day before I came driven from Prague to one of my uncountable Red Cross meetings in Mecklenburg Western Pommerania... So I missed again a great party in Czechia. The famous house warming party in Brno :-(

But here I am again just in time to say "Sjaumst" to Diddi who is going back to his wonderful home country, the famous land of ice and fire, I C E L A N D
Was real fun to hear some Icelandic here in Central (NOT!!! Eastern) Europe. And also another reason to go back to Iceland one day... :-)

And for tonight... Will gets some visit from the US. Only girls as I heard, hehe

Enjoy the day and smile a little for me. Next time I hope to come up with some nice pics here to let you know how a Czech Christian looks like. And maybe even Czechia...

Take care,
Chris

Back in Hanover again...

Okay, Christian was this strange German guy. But why is he in Hanover? And why the hell even again???
Well guys, that is a almost two months long lasting story, so let's begin...

Last time I wrote to you I just arrived in Praha, golden city of Central Europe. Meanwhile I even had the chance to see a little bit of it. But it is actually quite difficult. Within the first few weeks I was in Germany for serveral business trips. So at least I did not have to struggle through the mess and dirt of my first appartement. Hanover? First appartment?? What the hell is this guy speaking about?

Well, since I like it a LITTLE comfortable and cozy and also prefer to have a whole room for only me and the girl I choose to be with me, I decided to move. And so did Gianni (Italy) and Will (US-American). And only three minutes away we found a fantastic flat. We even have a fireplace now... (and an old TV "Made in GDR" So how old is this one???)

And I think I have to put some things in the right light. I am not criminal, nor is it the company I am working for. It was just a little confusing that one person from Hanover (so guess now, why I am here, AGAIN) owns four different companies with partly overlaping workfields and also similar workforce. I have two different business cards now (even though I deserve more!!!) But now I figured out how things work and my job itself becomes more and more intersting and demanding. Since Carolina Servis is a quite small company I have got very fast a lot responsibility.

And right now I am in our branch office in Hanover and support my colleague here in creating a flyer.

And what does the rest of my life do??? Since I got this traineeship via AIESEC I also participate a little in the AIESEC life in Praha. So I got to know some crazy people and also joined my first congress here in Czech Republik. It was two weeks ago... the time the summer arrived. Next to some hours of ultimate frisbee we also decided to go swimming in a f****ing cold lake right next to the place we stayed, Sec.

And the best time I spent in Czecia was Eastern where I met Michaela again who had studied with me in Rostock. Three wonderful days close to Brno (yeah, damned, I am talking about cities so go and get a map!) with nice weather, a lot nature and the most friendly Czech people I met. And since it is not very common in Prague to be polite or in any way customer orientated (lovely lovely Germany, believe me! Or have you ever got a beer served with the back of the waitress to you face???) I really enjoyed it a lot. Even her Grandparents tried to speak some German words with me even though they learned them during WW II and have not been speaking it after. But if I did not understand them, they just stiffed me with food and food and wine. The best one ever I drank actually. "Alibernet 2005" and personally produced by her uncle in his own small small wine cellar...

But now Christian has to go to sleep...

Ahoj
